Tjeerd Oostendorp is a Dutch tuba player, born in 1956. He was a member of the Residentie Orkest from 1979 to 1989 and the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine from 1989 to 1995. Easy Dance is literally a “simple” dance that he wrote for a regional youth symphony orchestra. This colorful composition takes the listener through two basic themes, which, after several modulations, lead in an intoxicating way to its dazzling finale. The piece is light-hearted and playful, with an infectious rhythm and melodies that give the orchestra the chance to showcase its virtuosity.
