Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra

In 2022 I wrote Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra for Jeroen Schippers, solo trumpet player of the Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy. It’s a challenging virtuoso piece of music for both the soloist and the orchestra, in which the typical concerto style emerges. Overall, this work consists of an opening, five subsequent movements based on the opening and a solo cadenza. 

In order to make this piece of music available for trumpet players who don’t have an orchestra for accompaniment, I made a piano excerpt from the orchestra score. Are you up for the challenge?
