In 2022, I composed the Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra for Jeroen Schippers, the solo trumpet player of the Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy. It is a challenging, virtuosic piece for both the soloist and the orchestra, showcasing the typical concerto style. Jeroen premiered the piece in November 2022 with his Marine Band, and since then, he has performed it several times, including the premiere with a fanfare band version for the Gelders Fanfare Orchestra in 2024.
